Organized in 2005 with the support of the Raleigh City Council, the Raleigh Hall of Fame, Inc., is a non-profit entity directed by a Board of twenty-one (21) directors. At an Induction Ceremony and Gala event in Fall of each year, it recognizes a limited number of individuals and non-profit organizations nominated by members of the public and chosen by an anonymous selection committee.
An anonymous selection committee is tasked with selecting the nominees for induction each year. The Chair of the Selection Committee brings the final inductee list to the Board of Directors, where it is motioned for approval.
